Every Easter my church hosts a sun-rise service at a local park with a live band. In the past, we have lacked clear diagrams displaying the layout and connections of the sound equipment. So, in my free time I created these diagrams which outlines the signal path of all of the connections. I have not created diagrams like this before but they illustrate most of the connections regarding the sound system. I used Illustrator to compose these documents and I collected the images of the products we are using from the manufacturers' website. When using the diagrams for setups, I will hopefully discover any ambiguity that exists within them and resolve it in the future.
This page overviews the fundamental connections in the system including the relationship between stage snake to the the sound control booth to the amplifiers to the speakers.
This page displays all of the connections within the mixing booth and some connections to external devices.
The basic layout of the band is shown here and the microphone connections to the snake are displayed above.
The last page briefly covers the connections on the back of the speakers and monitor amplifier that have not been shown before.
