After seeing a build video by DIY Modern from YouTube I had to build a pedal board based on their design. I have built four pedal boards since for both myself and friends. For those who do not know, a pedal board is a piece of furniture that guitarist place their effect pedal onto. Usually people affix the pedal using Velcro. Pedal boards have been made using many different materials. However, this design uses maple strips with a mahogany base.
I worked on this project with my dad who is a very skilled carpenter. I created my own plans using Illustrator and printed out all of the reference sheets for the cuts. We purchased all of the raw materials and used a friend's tools to make all of the cutting. Below are images of the first pedal board we built.
After learning much from the first run at it, we decided to make another one as a Christmas gift to a guitarist friend. The following images are of the second go at it which turned out many times better.

Then as another guitarist friend was getting married we decided to make two more; one for the groom and one for myself in case I grow out of my smaller one. The final images of the gallery display the forth and final board. I learned much about carpentry and the process of finishing a wood project such as this.
The images below showcase how I layout my effects pedals on my custom pedal board.
